Chef Olga Sorzano, a native of Siberia, Russia, began her culinary career in her mothers pantry at the age of 7 attempting to make meringue... without a recipe. Her formal training did not begin until years later right here in Philadelphia attending The Restaurant School of Walnut Hill College then continuing in Italy, Thailand, and Switzerland. After working at several local restaurants she decided to strike out on her own and become a private chef.
During this time, Olga became increasingly interested in traditionally prepared nourishing foods. Kombucha was probably one of the first words she learned from her great-grandmother "Baba" as a child growing up in Russia. While expecting her first child, she began to have cravings for that taste of home. In 2015, she decided to brew her Old World recipe for others to enjoy, starting Baba's Brew kombucha nano brewery in Chester County, PA.
