Lari Robling
Independent Producer, Writer, Moderator
Lari Robling’s illustrious career is a testament to her dedication and passion for food and storytelling. A James Beard nominee for Best Food Radio, she has worn many hats in the culinary world, including serving as a food columnist for the Daily News, a food stylist for Rodale Press, and the author of the internationally acclaimed cookbook Endangered Recipes. Her voice has graced the airwaves as a longtime producer and talent for WHYY FM, where she contributed to groundbreaking programs such as Chef's Table with Jim Coleman.
Philadelphia, Lari’s adopted city, holds a special place in her heart. One of her proudest accomplishments was showcasing the city’s vibrant food scene in Barron’s 10001 Restaurants You Must Experience Before You Die. She has also faced exciting challenges, including moderating a panel discussion featuring culinary legends Jacques Pépin, Gael Green, and Mario Batali in front of an audience of 800—a daunting yet exhilarating experience she would eagerly take on again.
Lari’s current passion lies in uncovering and reconstructing treasured family recipes, often sourced from unexpected places like the back of paper bags. These culinary treasures fuel her commitment to preserving culinary history and tradition.
Her love for wine has inspired her to earn WSET Level 2 certification, and she continues to support Philadelphia’s wine culture as a board member of Philly Wine Cru. When not in the kitchen or exploring wine, Lari spends time with her “bad dogs” and fellow spirited Phillies fans—all while savoring a good glass of wine.
