Jill Sloane
The Carbon Culture
Jill Sloane was born and raised in the Philadelphia area. She attended college in Washington, DC. At The George Washington University where she majored in finance, which she followed with a certificate in Culinary Arts from the French Culinary Institute.
Jill spent much of her early career focused on the food and wine industry. Beginning with food styling and recipe development for both magazines and cookbooks and then moving into writing about food and wine. Jill found she had a passion for writing about wine and founded and helmed an online wine magazine with a focus on making wine approachable and accessible to everyone.
Jill shifted gears when moving back to Philadelphia in 2012 to work in finance and strategy for an IT. She is the mother to 2 boys, Henry and Parker, and runs a jewelry company, The Carbon Culture.
