Bette Alberts has cultivated an impressive career spanning the realms of food, wine, and public service. As a devoted advocate for culinary excellence, she has been a proud member of Les Dames d'Escoffier, first joining the Washington, D.C., chapter in 2010 and continuing her contributions through the Philadelphia chapter today.
In recognition of her passion and expertise, Bette earned the prestigious title of Maître Commanderie de Bordeaux in 2014, reflecting her deep appreciation for fine wine and her commitment to the culinary arts. Her background as the Food and Wine Editor for Washington Dossier during the late 1970s and early 1980s solidified her as a respected voice in the industry.
Beyond her culinary achievements, Bette dedicated over three decades to public service. She served as an Analyst for the Congressional Research Service from 1973 to 2006 and as a Congressional Case Worker from 1969 to 1973, contributing her expertise to the nation's legislative process.
